The major vegetables marketed in APMC yard and peas, frenchbean, cauliflower, cabbage, capsicum and potato. The marketing season start from April to October. The first crop comes is pea, the arrival gain momentum from may onwards and if all remain good, there is glut in market from 20 th april to 15 may. The vegetables are marketed in local mandies of north india and most of produce is again auctioned in consuming market yards. Major chunk of produce is observed in delhi azadpur market. There are also a few buyers in market for vegetables, and the local traders cum commission agents act as buyers as they have to honor the contracts already taken from various traders across the states.
